1. Who you are buying from

Lee Drinkwater is a sole trader trading as ScanLocal UK.

2. What we provide

Annual membership provides personal access to ScanLocal UK's automatically generated formats, 5, 10 and 25-mile searches, multiple UK locations, the public data available when each file is generated, Members area history and model-specific loading guidance. Files are discovery aids, not a guarantee that every listed frequency will be active or receivable.

3. Compatibility and lawful use

You are responsible for selecting the correct scanner model and entering accurate order details. Scanner performance varies with equipment, antenna, terrain, interference and local use. You are responsible for using your scanner and the supplied information lawfully. Nothing in the service authorises interception or use that would otherwise be unlawful.

4. Membership price, renewal and payment

Membership costs £5.99 for the first year. Unless you cancel before renewal, it renews for £9.99 each year on the renewal date displayed before checkout and confirmed by Stripe. Payment and recurring billing are processed securely by Stripe. You can cancel future renewal online at any time through the Members area and Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation stops the next charge and access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

5. Delivery

Supported formats are generated automatically and are normally emailed with instructions within minutes after successful payment. You must provide an email address you can access and check your junk folder. If an event outside our reasonable control delays delivery, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to reduce the delay.

6. Fair use

Membership is for the member's personal scanner use. It permits multiple reasonable location, radius and format changes, but not automated extraction, scraping, account sharing, resale, bulk redistribution or use to operate a competing data service. Temporary anti-automation limits may apply. Contact us if a legitimate personal project reaches a limit.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time; this does not normally refund the period already started. Digital files cannot be returned. Once a custom file has been emailed following your express request for work to begin, change-of-mind cancellation rights for that supplied file are unavailable. See our Cancellation and refund policy. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

8. Problems with an order

Contact info@scanlocaluk.co.uk promptly with your order reference and a description of the problem. Where appropriate, we may correct or replace the file, repeat part of the service, reduce the price or provide a refund in line with consumer law.

9. Responsibility

We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to your statutory rights, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer order.

10. Changes and governing law

The terms applying to your order are those available when you pay. English law applies, while consumers living elsewhere in the UK retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in their local courts.
