Cancel annual renewal

Sign in to the Members area, choose Manage membership and cancel through Stripe before your renewal date. Cancellation prevents the next annual £9.99 charge. Your membership and automatic-file access continue until the end of the period already paid for. Cancelling future renewal does not normally refund the current paid period.

Your 14-day cancellation period

You normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel a distance service without giving a reason. To cancel, email info@scanlocaluk.co.uk with a clear statement and your order details. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.

Starting work early

At ordering, you are asked to expressly request that we begin work as soon as payment is confirmed, during the 14-day cancellation period. If you cancel after work has begun, consumer law may allow us to retain a reasonable amount for the service already performed. If the custom digital content has been supplied after your express consent and acknowledgement, your cancellation right for that supplied digital content ends.

Before work begins

If you cancel a separately charged file before we begin preparing it, we will issue a full refund. For membership, contact us promptly if you want to cancel the contract rather than only stopping future renewal. Approved refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method, normally within 14 days.

After your file is delivered

Once the custom file has been emailed to you, it cannot be returned and we do not offer cancellations or refunds merely because you have changed your mind. This is because supply has begun after you expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right. Your statutory rights for a faulty or misdescribed file remain unaffected.

If something is wrong

Your legal rights remain in place. If the file is faulty, not as described or the service was not carried out with reasonable care and skill, contact us. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, repeat performance, price reduction or refund. A frequency being silent at a particular time is not by itself evidence of a fault because licensed assignments are not guaranteed to be continuously active.
